The real first day.

Today was the first day of legit work. My job entails that I drive around an assigned area to develop brands by tapping outlets such as bars, wholesalers, and grocery stores. But for the past month, I’ve been on immersion mode, which means that I worked with a more experienced TE (Territory Executive is the title). Today, however, I went on my own.

I knew I would get lost along the way and I knew I would stumble with the promos, and I did. There’s always the pressure to do good, to have a great start, and to make a good first impression. A part of me is convinced that all this pressure is all just in my head, another part is completely sold on the idea that the pressure is real. But I know that in some way, both are right.

It’s all in my head, no doubt. But I miss this kind of pressure and I don’t mind being under it. For now.
