Earlier today I found myself in a room full of SCRA, in a law firm somewhere in Makati. These were the cases we spent all day and all night reading back when I was in law school. I spent a semester there and dropped out years ago. Two years later, it’s not that I hated being in that room. But I know that my answer to the question “Do you see yourself spending hours in this room and going home fulfilled?” was never a “hell yes.” Derek Sivers said this thing about making big decisions: “If it’s not a ‘hell yes,’ it’s a ‘no.'” Listen to your own inner-no’s.
