It’s 11 PM and I’m at a restobar in the outskirts of Pasig dressing up the place with Tiger and Heineken merch for a lockout event this weekend.
As I yawn my way through the bar, I realize how long the day has been, the number of outlets I’ve been to, the countless rejections from prospects, and the little victories throughout. I’m tired and more than ready to go home. But I have one more visit before I can call it a day.
“Will this all be worth it?,” I think to myself.
And then I remember a great lesson from college. Our Theology 141 Professor JP Bolano would remind us, “Walang sayang (Nothing is wasted).” In the end, everything finds its place in the world.
And it’s true. All the late nights, early mornings, muscle pains, eye bags, and the stress, they all end up somewhere in the fine print of the results.
And although there is no way of knowing how their worth adds up and what type of math or physics applies to the input-output equation, I think it’s enough to know that our actions will have served their purpose at some point in the future.
