Work, complaining, and perspective

Today I’m reminded of this interview by Tom Bilyeu with Gary Vaynerchuk because I’ve recently found myself complaining more than usual. In my head, it’s always the same question: Can I do something about it? If the answer is yes, then go do fix it. If the answer is no, then there’s no point to complaining.

As I’ve said before, I always take Gary’s words with a grain of salt because his advice could go way over the top and may not always be applicable to all situations. But his drive and energy are too special to miss out on, so sometimes, even when most of Gary’s content can be quite repetitive, I listen because his message is a wake-up call. His rants literally wake me up during groggy Monday mornings or after coming home exhausted on a Friday night.

This is one of the few pieces of Garyvee content that I wouldn’t mind playing over and over again. Lengthy, but totally worth the time.
